How I Can Help You
About Me
I am a neurologist working within the principles of evidence-based medicine and modern European clinical guidelines
In my practice I pay special attention to thorough diagnostics, detailed history-taking, and an individual approach to each patient, considering not only clinical but also psychological aspects of their condition
I strive to create a calm and safe atmosphere where patients can openly discuss symptoms and concerns without fear of judgment
I use only methods with proven effectiveness and avoid drugs and approaches without scientific justification. I regularly follow updates to clinical guidelines and professional literature
My goal is not only to prescribe treatment, but to help the patient understand their condition, reduce anxiety, and improve quality of life

Good morning. I had a consultation with neurologist Igor Shtuchniy in Novi Sad. The consultation went very well and lasted a little over an hour. Igor is an attentive neurologist: he took a full history, performed all neurological tests, and confirmed the diagnosis. He gave detailed conclusions and recommended further examination. I know migraine with aura is not cured completely, but so far attacks have not recurred. I recommend this specialist — he is also very pleasant to talk to.

Today I was seen by neurologist Igor Shtuchniy. I can confidently recommend him. He strictly follows evidence-based medicine, takes a detailed history, does not recommend anything unnecessary or extra procedures, is polite and attentive, and explains everything in detail. You can feel professionalism and medical ethics.

I was seen by neurologist Igor Shtuchniy. In one visit he correctly diagnosed the problem and prescribed treatment that relieved severe pain from the first day. I had suffered daily for more than half a year, visited different doctors, and spent about 90,000 dinars on diagnostics in vain. Before that I saw another Russian-speaking neurologist on a gastroenterologist’s referral — I will not name them. The visit lasted four minutes from entering to leaving the clinic; they immediately dismissed the likely diagnosis (which turned out correct) and sent me for an unnecessary CT scan costing 14,000, then said I needed a surgeon. I was discouraged by the quality and outcome. For a second opinion I went to neurologist Igor Shtuchniy — it was a real relief. Six months after treatment with him, the pain has not returned. I would have saved money and nerves if I had gone to Dr. Shtuchniy first. I am very grateful for his professionalism and meticulous history-taking.

I had a follow-up visit with Igor Shtuchniy, so I can leave feedback not just on a single visit but on the whole care pathway. First, I really liked the detailed summary the clinic emails after the appointment — in two languages (Russian and Serbian), with corner cases clearly explained and a clear rationale for each test ordered. Second, the doctor does not only write referrals but explains where in Belgrade tests can be done with the best quality. Third, at the follow-up he reviews results in detail, clarifies points, takes additional history, and only then prescribes therapy. Overall, everything was excellent.
