How I Can Help You

About Me

I am an adult and child psychiatrist. I work with adults and children from 3 years old, including complex and ambiguous clinical cases.

In my work I follow the principles of evidence-based medicine and rely on current clinical guidelines and scientific data. It is important to me that the diagnosis is thorough and the prescribed treatment is well-founded, clear to the patient and suited to their individual situation.

At the same time, psychiatry for me is not only diagnoses, symptoms and medications. Behind every condition I try to see the person: their individual story, characteristics, life circumstances and how the difficulties affect their everyday life. That is why at the appointment we not only assess symptoms but also figure out together what is happening and discuss possible options for help.

I try to create a calm and accepting atmosphere in which you can talk about difficult and personal things without fear of judgment. It is important to me to build a trusting relationship with every patient, regardless of age, taking into account their individual characteristics, life context and needs.

Medicine is constantly evolving, so I keep learning professionally and follow current research and updates to clinical guidelines in order to use modern, science-based approaches in my practice.

Every person is a whole universe, unique and deep, with their own story, light and shadows. My task is to help you better understand what is happening, find support and choose a treatment that is professional, clear and gentle at the same time.

As Albus Dumbledore said: "Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light." Sometimes the first step towards it is simply asking for help.

I was left with pleasant impressions after visiting Dr Yarushina. I decided to see her because of some complaints. Our meeting started on time. Tatyana Sergeevna spent about 40–50 minutes with me, and in this case that was quite enough — we covered everything. The specialist was ready to answer all the additional questions that came up. She listened to my complaints, asked clarifying questions and in the end chose a treatment. Tatyana Sergeevna wrote out an individual course and dosages of the medications. I had the feeling that the doctor was genuinely interested in helping. Her manner of communication seemed calm. The doctor tried to listen and to get her point across, which I think is the right way. She explained the information clearly. After the visit I also received a prescription and a written conclusion.

I first came to Tatyana Sergeevna back in 2024 with a diagnosis of bipolar disorder. I really liked that first there is a conversation and a "gentle" identification of needs, and only then a course of treatment is prescribed. The course was chosen right the first time, which is very surprising. To this day I see only Tatyana Sergeevna. She even thinks ahead about unexpected situations that may happen in life and suggests how to cope with them. In a word, a wonderful psychotherapist with a capital P.

I needed to adjust my treatment regimen. The doctor approached my medical history very carefully, asked many clarifying questions, answered my questions and explained everything. The appointment lasted quite a long time (I know that a dose-adjustment appointment often lasts 5 minutes, but this was not the case!). I will continue to see her.
